The order situation is stable even in the Corona crisis. "That is why we are optimistic about the future," says entrepreneur Alfons Meierhöfer. He is planning investments of about 15 million euros in Eschenbach for 2022.
Elma, the plant specialist for raw material processing, is in good spirits and is putting a clear exclamation mark on the town of Rußweiher. With the acquisition of a commercial area of 25,000 square metres directly next to the existing Elma production site in the industrial area "Am Stadtwald", the signs are pointing to expansion.
The first sketches of the plans that company boss Alfons Meierhöfer and production manager Silvio Wartha presented to Mayor Marcus Gradl during his inaugural visit show that this is not just a stockpiling area. The construction of an assembly hall, a production line for steel construction and a paint shop are firmly planned for 2022. There are also plans to expand the office wing at a later date. The built-up area measures 150 by 50 metres and the investment volume is approximately 15 million euros.
Currently, the group of companies with its headquarters in Erbendorf in the Eschenbach industrial area employs 50 people. Once the extension is up and running, the number of employees is expected to rise to 150. Production manager and chief salesman Silvio Wartha names companies from southern Germany and neighbouring countries as the main customers.
During the exchange of views with Mayor Marcus Gradl, company boss Alfons Meierhöfer welcomed the city's considerations to create a second road connection to the B 470 federal highway for the industrial area "Am Stadtwald" in the medium term.
